Plasterboarding ceiling

Hi, I'm looking for some help. I recently had a stippled ceiling plasterboarded over, however, there are a number of areas where joists weren't available to screw the boards into, apparently, and they are not level with adjacent boards. Can anyone suggest a solution to this? Would plasterboard fixing screws work to pull the two (existing ceiling/new boards) together and stop the sagging/pull these in line. I can't get hold of the guy who did it so I'm at a bit of a lost end in that respect. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks.

No you need a joist to get a fixing. I think start again m8. Find joist this time mark them out. If you want straight ceiling counter batten it by using line

You can't get hold of the guy who did it because obviously he hasn't got a f**k**g clue.
It aint fkin rocket science you chop some existing board out where required then you can add some more timber to original joists so you can fix your new boards to it f**k**g 'ell it aint hard.

Bent ceiling with random joists should have been counterbattened and boarded in.

Might have to start from scratch.
