Plastering a concrete ceiling

Working on a concrete ceiling next week. Any tips for this?

I'm thinking PVA then bonding coat then skim.

Would this work? Or is there another or better way?

you can use thistle bonding backing coat them skim or wicks bonding agent and skim and good old pva and skim. Everything depends on the state of the ceiling.

The concrete is pretty raggy in places though. I think it's going to need a good layer of bonding over it to help level it off.

How long down the Thistel Bond take to go off? Is it the same as Wickes Bond it?

B and B it mate. Also gives you the option of insulating it too !!!

just how big is the ceiling is one of them council house jobs or is it industrial jobs.

we had to dab a concrete ceiling with thermal boards once lol. then chuck 6 fixings in once it had set. he didnt want to pay for all the battens and screws, yet paid for loads of dab and the board fixing screws. right cowboy job.

I skimmed out the flat ime in at the moment last summer all poured concrete walls built in 1976 dry as fcuk 5 coats unibond still strugled WBA worked better, never again board it.
