Plastering around fireplace

Hi I need to re skim around the square hole were the customer is having a natural fire. They want to keep the inside bare brick. What would you do on the edges around the square hole to finish ? Stop bead? I'm not sure cus of the heat?

Hold your darby up render to it then slide it away or work to a timber ground and remove it after.

used render stop bead around the aperture on mine. no problems eighteen months on and it's a 12kw wood burner. nice and tidy. stepped it over about a half inch so there's a slight lip rather than being flush with the inside.

that's the galv ones, not pvc ....:RpS_thumbup:
