Plastering around upvc door.

Hi All

Would appreciate any advice on plastering around a upvc door. The plaster is blown due to high traffic and continuos banging of the front door. Found some expanding foam there.

Question is whats the best laster for a base coat and can you plaster near the expaning foam

Cut foam back flush to brick
I would take plaster off to corner
Seal the brickwork with “pva “
:bonding coat
: multi finish

Why would you want to waste PVA on brickwork? water is free.
