Hi, I have just bought a new house. All the ceiling are artex and looks like it's been painted a couple of times. Got several ceiling tested no asbestos.
I want to get all ceiling skimmed, artex is not thick. I spoke to a plasterer on site a few years ago, he said watch out sometimes pva on artex, the plaster can bubble and peel off.
Is pva on artex the way to go, or is using, bond it or betokontakt give a more stable and sold finish?
Or is that the wrong kind of thing to put on artex.
The money for the grit glue is not a problem, I'd prefer it to last the test of time.
Any info would be appreciated thanks.
