Due to the repetitive nature of our game and the physical effort, day in, day out. What's everyone suffering with??

I get a sore back, neck, arm and my leg gets sore jumping up and down off the hop up!! I'm 42 now and it's really only in the last 5 years or so that the job is taking its toll. To be fair, i don't really see many spreads over 50!!!

ive spent about £500 at the chiropractors last year due to having a twisted spine from work. now i've got a torn ligament that tears again everytime i knock it. and yes i'm only 24

i know, to fix my ankle they need to retear it, fix it, then i have to have 10 weeks off work.

10 weeks off then another 4 to get the strength back into it!!! If things keep getting worse in the building trade, 10 weeks off will be nothing!!!

i aint a plasterer by trade but have 2 slipped discs from mountain biking and jet skiing, and by the time ive done a days work on the tools (plastering/diy/gardening) now im fked for the rest of the day... can barely move... hats off to you guys that do it all day, every day, im spent at 35 and happy to have an office job to go back to - dunno what id do if this was my bread n butter id be fked!

plastering related though - i get a fair bit of bother with the skin on my hands n fingers...

Bunch of pufftas just get on with it ffs:RpS_biggrin:

Nah i actually had a slight accident the other week i was using the henry to hoover the dust up in the ladies bedroom when it happened.

I was hoovering the carpet by the bed & had to move the chest of drawers out the way & because it was heavy i tried lifting it but my belt snapped & trousers accidently fell down a bit, then the top draw slid open & a few items of clothing fell on the floor, as i was kneeling down to retrive the fallen items the pipe latched on to my penial stalk :-0
Took a good few minutes to get it off:rolleyes)

eh? pipe latched...penial stalk? Are you saying you you wanked into a pair of silkies? :RpS_blushing:

Heard it mate lol Can't beat that feeling of silkies wrapped around the bellend. Er, allegedly :RpS_sneaky:

I was in a club once when this bird got her t*ts out................I broke me neck trying to get a look, does that count?

That's what i heard aswell Casper.
Kebab said he wanked into the customers underwear before!
Don't think the bloke was to happy when he found out though:RpS_biggrin:

My old work partner was a Marine, they were on exercise with the navy, he tried leaning over his bunk, fell out hooking his foreskin on the metal pillar at the end, landed on the floor with his foreskin stretched to the bunk top.Took 3 guys to lift him , and the 2 medics had to perform a cirumcisim in the theratre instanly.

most jobs in the building game are quite pysical at some point i know joiners who have tennis elbow an such so were not on our own

I got carpel tunnel in both hands i have problems with my right elbow as such i had 2 lots of cortisone inections had numerous trips to chiropracters, often frequint the local massage palour too but that purely medical :flapper: if you no what i mean !!

Plastering is the most punishing trade in all the building game. Your not doing yourself any good lifting gorrila tubs full of gear. Plastering become like so many trades how quick you can do a job, profit margins.

2 years ago had 2 have 6 mounths physio on my back to straighten it out due 2 to much mussle on the one side from carrying boards & bags ov finish same as steve curved spine & slipped on stair protectors while skimmmin a bulk head onsite fell down the stairs went under the safty rail off the side & landed on my trowell :-0 & had 2 have 16 stiches in my right wrist all so had plaster in my eye when i first started wich burned my eye & resulted in conjuntivitose in both eyes 4 3weeks apart from that not to bad :RpS_laugh:

too many dont use a board and stand for me its an essential part of kit ,apart from making it a lot faster it stops a lot of bending and saves your wrist and elbow by not having to bucket trowel mud on to your handboard.its also your station where you can hang things off ie corner trowel hammers towel and your splash bucket goes under one corner stopping potential spillages which lead to slips and white footprints every where.

the only annoying thing is every other fooker thinks its where they put there tools altho not for long
