part of the job im on atm is plastering over some smooth concrete wall. can u get away with bond it and skim or does it have to be bonded out first ideally? theyre are pretty flat but do need the joints meshing

cheers

Why do they need the joints meshing? Skim it mate if you can would be a good one for mp75 if they want it ruled

needs meshing coz its in 8x4 sized slabs. so 8ft+ vertical joins. they wont let me use mp75 for some reason. did a test room and it came out fine. they said hm, not too sure. and insisited on hardwall and set which is making me want to hang myself, and the finish is almost identical. i asked to used toughcoat, sand and cement or mp75. so they said hardwall!!

Tell them you can't use hardwall lol it's carlite bonding kinell everyones obsessed with meshing things nowadays

sorry i meant hardwall for the block walls....

yeah i no bonding for the concrete, wouldnt u do anything to the joints?

they had originally spec ed eml. like **** am i drilling into concrete!

Were on exactly the same job nick and there happy with a tight coat of bonding and skim, it's a bit too shabby just to skim, ask them what they want mate and stick a straight edge on it all comes down to the client really

You know what you said about eml nick the boss I was with had tochange the spec this is for a big contractor doing prepwork for tiles and originally it was dab boards then eml then sand cement lol

betokontakte your concrete slabs first its designed 4 concrete then bonding & skim expantion joints every 6 meters :RpS_thumbup:
