Plastering on fibreboard

Is there another way of skimming on fibreboard, other than plasterboarding ontop first ?

I just don't want to add even more weight to it, cheers ;D

It seems just like mdf, just less dense, as I didn't want anything too heavy

on the floor aswell. Rottweilers dont eat it ive heard
