Plastering Or Tiling

which is the better job out of the two then?

which can earn the most money?

which is the easiest to pick up?

which has the most work?

i noticed that at college there was 19 people on the plastering waiting list and only 4 on the tiling!

imo tiling is easier to pick up,

domestic tilers i know charge between 12-20/mtr labour i ont know what site prices are lik for tilers tho

plasterers i know earn roughly between 25 an 50k per year

after a course expect to earn 200 a week as a labourer and learn to plaster ;D ;D

If your quick at tiling and doing high end like natural stone...then there is good money. But the best money is if you can do full bathroom installations...plumbing, plastering and tiling...minimum £200 a day.

But side by side as basic trades i'd say theres more money in plastering.

There you go 19 people wanting plastering 4 tiling i would go tiling as the odds are better for a job after.............. but i wouldnt say it was a better job

I think there's more call for plastering, every room, every wall, ceilings, external too, whereas tiling kitchens, bathrooms and floors......

I do all genreal building work and advertise for both tiling and plastering,most of 80% of my work is plastering!!!
