Hello everyone.
I've just joined the forum as I need a bit of advice please. I'm not a plasterer and honestly don't know a thing about it.
The problem I have is that I've taken the really old rough plaster off the walls in my kitchen to expose the brickwork, ready to re plaster. Upon exposing the bricks, its become apparent that they are all glazed bricks. (house is c1910-1915).
The question is, will the new plaster bond to these bricks or will I have to do some prep work before the plasterer turns up.
I've done a bit of looking around your forum and it appears that there is a product called Febond Blue Grip. Some of you have discussed using it, but with mixed reviews.
The glaze is nowhere near as smooth as a tile but still quite smooth and the old plaster came off very easily.
Does anyone here have any suggestions please?
Cheers.
