plastering over painted wood

is it ok to plaster over wood which has previously been painted if i give it 2 coats pva. if not, whats the best way 2 do it. any help is much apprieciated thanks

remove the wooden panel, replace with plasterboard and skim it.

Paint it pink and plaster up to it

Wallcrete it with a brick effect, then dab onto this or float & set, the choice is yours :RpS_thumbup:
