I’ve done it before with gypbond is this an actual method ?
Guy needs a job doing his other walls were hacked off previously and nearly fell over after hacking off
Just thinking gypbond mesh bonding and skim over tiles it’s a bathroom is he still better off hacking them off or do you think this would be ok x

Ive done it before with Wickes bonding agent and skimmed over as the tiles were stuck on with cement .
If they are stuck on with tile adhesive fetch them off

Bonding on tiles in a bathroom even with bond-it or any other pre-grit wouldn't be my choice. I'd knock off the tiles and dubb out with hardwall or S&C and skim and charge accordingly.

It’s a very old building lath and plaster etc and the tiles look like something youre nan used so I doubt it’s be any modern adhesives

Why can’t you go over tiles with gypbond that’s what I’m asking mainly
It's not that you can't, I wouldn’t use thistle bonding in a wet area, skim on it's own would probably be ok.
I'm sure bond-it was advertised as being appropriate for skimming over tiles.

Bond it is spec’d to go over tiles provided that they are cleaned properly first. Might be worth mentioning that if they tile on top it might fail from behind the original tiles
