Plastering over wallpaper paste residue

The paper has been stripped, but will I need to remove every last trace of wallpaper paste before getting the walls re-plastered/skimmed?

The walls are plastered & painted brick.
The paste was "Warmaline Ready mixed adhesive" which looks like thin PVA.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Best wash it all off if you can, if not use wba/thistle bond it not pva!! This works a treat if there's any paste left on the wall it sets rock hard over it, whereas pva won't on paste! :RpS_thumbup:
