why why why why whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cani not get a dusty pink colour consistancy over my walls and ceiling. i leave water marks etc looks s**t. dark patches , light patches its doin my head in . ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Hello Daz,

Right your water marks normally because your splashing dirty water or your not trowling the water away.

The light dark patches this is normally because teh wall is drying quicker in certain areas. Some say its because you dont put it on even enough I dont think thats the case

When it dries out 2 days later it all goes the same colour.... hopefully

practice mate youre probably getting on it too soon .....a good well worn in trowel helps too

You get a lot more water marks on multi-finish than we used to with the old plasters with the exception of Carlite finish which was a very fine plaster compared with the others available. Multi is also finer than board finish ( if it's still the same) and the other plasters we used to use. I find I don't get water marks if the walls go just right, not needing any water on any of the trowels, so I can only assume that it's the fact that the multi is so fine that causes them.
