Evening guys

I have recently converted to the refina plastic trowels, with reading information on here. I am basically after any tips that will improve me with them
I am currently putting 2 to 2 and a half bags ish on with my normal trowel (13 inch Marshalltown) flattening with the 20 or 24 inch plastic, top coat with normal trowel, flatten again with the plastic. After that 2 trowels normally finish's it. The only water im applying is just brushing corners and edges with a 6 inch brush unless a live corner. Is the anything im missing or am I completely doing it wrong. All advice and criticism greatly appreciated

I was using an 18 inch steel to flatten but just started using the plastic one day for all and seems to be working pretty well so far. I have wet and dry 400 grit sanded all my plastics as now feel they have a finer edge on them now. Again that may have been the wrong thing to do but seems to trowel better

scratch on....two or three bags flatten with cavity closer or dakata you should be able to scratch on another bag or two possibly..it takes just one swipe over the walls /ceilings (softer the better)the with the cavity closer (not speedskim there just a fancy gimmick) then turn back and lay down 2nd coat give that a try and build your mixes/gauges up from there....use a steel trowel for 1st and 2nd trowel, then rub over it straight away with plastic trowel......finished....3 mixes a day..hey presto...

Try 1st 2nd coat don't flatten between coats wash out put a trowel on it while its wet, leave it 15 mins, give it another dry trowel, leave it 15 mins then cross trowel it with the plazzy you want to catch it on this trowel just before it needs water, the plazzy will bring a bit of moisture to the surface when this has gone matt cross it again
You won't be able to do to much though 2 bags ish
