The blue blades can now be used for finishing with

But you didnt rate the refina s*p*r*lex trowel either when they where new and now everyone is using them ;)

I have witnessed @scottie5 using his blue blade speed skim and he does nearly finish multi with it.With 1 sometimes 2 passes with a super ted. I know he told me he has persevered with it but with doing that he has got his timings with the way he skims bang on .Have a nice holiday Scottie :RpS_thumbup:

Mmmmmm

I thought that but I will use it to give the second coat a quick pass as soon as I've washed out then give it a 'first trowel'. It makes it much easier imo

I caved in and got a couple of eze spats, don't know how boyo's are finishing with them? As @johniosaif says only gd for taking out lines on the first coat

It's ok for flattening first coat and thats it.

Yep that's your opinion fair do"s. I have seen it used for more passes and its not like i would just make up what i have seen is it now. each to their own and all that. I did say he persevered to make it suit the way he skims. With that it works for him well. I use other brands of tools and have my own way of skimming that works for me.Same as yourself having your ways. I am trying to say that if we can not get on with a tool as well as other tools we use. Does not mean to say that other people can not use that tool better than us. Not a dig, Just we all get on with certain tools better than others and vice versa

Mmmmmm??? You seem to be forgetting the other 25 letters of the alphabet and appear to lack the ability to arrange said letters into a coherent sentence. Do you need assistance with this? I suggest you try the dictionary and if that fails the library can also help

Really?! I like it for flattening quickly after second coat but I dont class it as a true flatten. Certainly. Dont think id like to finish with it

Fair does mate but surely worth giving it a go if it makes your job easier, flatten off as normal with it then when it starts to pull in a bit start the troweling up, TBH I've found that letting it pull in similar to when you'd start with a steel trowel works a treat, that's if you want to of course

Us plasterers have and use far too many tools these days! My bruv refuses to buy tools and gets away with the very basics and do you know what? It all looks the same when its painted!

I think its about making the job easier, which it does.. wondered how many would brick it it they left one of the new tools at home and had to use a standard trowel..lol
