Pocket lighter just now after buying..........

a 14" refina! Any tips on using it when using it. Have been advised to stay away from beads when troweling and to use my MT so as to no nick it. Any other pros and cons for this trowel.

Beads are only on corners or reveals so thats only a small % of the wall when you think about it. If there ok to use over beads then ill do it but its just someone mentioned to me that sometimes his gets nicked with the beads at times and its a c**t to fix again
 
Is it true that that it gives painters a hard time painting over skim thats been troweled with these
 
Loads of people go on about them nicking but I never had a problem, used them for last trowel only though.
After I'd had it a few moths it started peeling the skim near the internal angle.
No need for them now with s*p*r*lex

s*p*r*lex?
 
I just use my mt duraflex start to finish , there good trowels . No where near as flexable as a refina s*p*r*lex etc , so can be used for the full job .

His pocket is lighter as it has less cash in it , i thought the thread was something about a lighter till i clicked on it haha

Why use 2 when u can just use the one ? Surely the one ur using on beads would be fine for the rest of the wall ??
