I have an extension to quote for not priced owt up for ages , how much is board n skim , skimming, these days per mtr2 just labour only cheers lads
 
If your a spread and pricing jobs for yourself then surely you should know how much it will be......

When was the last time you priced and why haven't you priced any thing in ages that's the question?

I like a lot mostly........sometimes not so much, then again, sometimes I try to get just a bit more.......depends really.....
 
Yea mate. Its not stopping! Booked through to summer pretty much now, been inside hibernating since November, to cold and wet but remembered how much I hate skimming!

Ha ha yes the skimming is ok for a few weeks!!
All year round really for us with the externals.
Doing alot of timber frame builds at the minute.
Renderboard and thin coat system.its taken off now with some big jobs on the go.
All good really mate

Write down three different amounts on three bits of paper ,put them in a hat and then after a drum roll get the customer to pull one out...........ta daaaaaaa. thats your price. Works for me.(y)

Well you know what you want a day how many materials you will need and how long it will take work out from there and add a bit no point doing on a mtr price it's to hard to do on an extension from my experience also it's frowned upon on here to ask prices as we all vary in what we charge I'm being polite in my reply cos you will get abuse for asking but they ain't a bad bunch

As long as all 3 prices are really high

Mate no probs it's a grey area on here and you might get the odd bit of what some have been offered ect but u wont get told what to charge a rate at that's solely down to you end of day I've said how you should go about it and It's best advice I can give u without sounding arsey if you win the job keep us posted but don't reveal what you charged lol never under sell always go with what your happy earning welcome along by the way
 
Op, I agree wit Danny. You can't quite a mtrsq rate for extensions because you'll lose out. You look at the walls/rooms then work out how long it'll take you and add a day or 2extra for all the fcuking about you'll encounter on it.

Work out how man metres you can do a day and divide it by 300...that is your rate per m2
 
Strange... I know a painter that charges £650 a room when he is doing a whole house... he recons it balances out right... most bathrooms only need ceilings painting
