was just wondering what some of you guys are charging around different areas..what would the average room ,lets say a bedroom skimmed..4 walls and ceiling with 1 window to bead round including supply the gear??
 
£ 450 and get it all day long................... surrey

wats an average size room anyways. i hate it wen people ask me how much to do my livin roon.( its like about average size you know , jst an average size room) >:(
 
all i say is you get wot u pay for and being a finising trade it needs to lood good ;)
 
If your Joe Public what do you do for a living? How much do you earn? Now subtract your petrol to get to work, what does that leave?
 
ive never thought of that. people coming on here to see what they should be getting charged. i think there should be a pricing section so we can all ignore it
 
you should know what you want for doin a job , you know what materials cost , you know what m2 material does , you know what you can do in a day , its not excactly rocket science
 
work out how much you do a day, probably 1 wall, work out how much you want a day, probably 200, 4 walls, 4 days. materials 100, £900 ;) oh reveals aswell, make it 1000
 
whats gets me is people seem to see plastering as a cheap trade to employ ,its the hardest trade to do .we ought to be on plumbers rates +20%
 
yes plumbers rates......how many plasterers charge £75 call out fee?
plumbers fees...... £80 to hoover out a gas boiler and light a pilot light
Garage mechanic fees £75 an hr labour only
accountant fees £40 an hr
private doctor £200 consultation fee (only)
private dentist £205 for a root canal filing

Poor plasterer £200 a day if ur lucky
 
best one i had was from solicitors £250 ph for senior partner , £195ph for a f@cking junior partner , makes me wish id gone to skool ;D
 
oh .... and were apparently too expensive ???????
for argueably the most physically demanding job on a building site

yea hadest trade so why are we the paupers so to speak it we got to be on a par with carpenters surely skillwise ???
 
mmmm not so sure mate.
A plasterer that knows all aspects including rendering mono boarding taping tacking skimming screeding coving float set everything yes.
but a boarder and skimmer no.
 
im not getting 150 a day so aslong as i get site work ive promised myself to go in stupidly high
 
i asked for that i suppose didnt i? no,im not a 2 weeker lads, ive been with the same small building firm for 10 years..until 3 months ago when i got finished cos theres no work!
reason i asked about pricing was cos ive just started working with a spread who has worked for himself for 20 years and i was just wonderin how his prices compared with other areas .....wast trying to suss out your prices to undercut any of you guys!! i dont do private work,dont advertise,never have done
sorry for any offence caused!!...im not new to plasterin,just new to the inernet/ this forum
