Just been looking at the local competition on google search, found this pic of a lad plastering im not saying a word but do we allways polish dry walls with tile trowels?

Maybe he's scraping off all that fat and those water marks - he needs the serrations on the tiling trowel to get down to the solid plaster underneath?! ;)

well its the diffrence between a £75 a day or a £120-£150 a day
its F*uckin mad how some people get away with dishin out crap on the domestic front and get away with it, i been to see a job the other day, the plastering was so so bad but the guy was happy with it? and just wanted a few patchs done else were. a few times iv seen it were the customers say they have had plastering done before and iv taken a look and it has been like a 15years olds first attempt at a 9mx9m artex ceiling on a hot day !

Good pic oasis, A good example of how not to do it........Bet he thinks he's done a good job of it, Rough c**t ;D

looking again i bet im right with that last post! the bloody wall dried 2 days ago! (he's probably trying to scrape the fat off ;D)

Hi all

Just a diyer myself so just curious if too much water & fat used on the wall waht would this wall look like once mist coated and painted. Would the water marks etc show through the paint?

Thanks

The paint won't stick very well to the fatty areas, as the fat dries very powdery and has no strength to it.

Also, if you were to put a light source (e.g. a table lamp) close to the wall I'd expect there to be plenty of shadowy areas where the surface is nowhere near flat. That wall looks to me like it's been overtrowelled and the surface probably has as many ripples as the sand on a beach!

nah dnt havea a clue but to be fair dont think he would have plastered the wall. anywayz ill take it off now was only the wall and trowel iz fort id share with ya! fort sumit was up with it now we no its all FAT.
