Purimachos plaster

Hi all,

Will Purimachos heat proof plaster be ok to apply over existing plaster?

Is it just a case of a coat of PVA and apply?

Does it give a decent finish?

Hi all,

I've got a fire surround to do which has a level fire in it and have just read the link flynnyman put on this thread. If you apply as per the instruction 20mm screed and 5mm plaster it will stand proud of the rest of the wall, can you get away with applying it thinner if it just for an fire opening rather than in the grate or do you just have to build up the rest of the wall?

had to use purimachos plaster for a job the stuffs **** had to plaster wall 1.5 wide by 2.4 which I spread Friday at 11 ish stayed to 5 waiting to be able to give it final finish still no joy so went home arrived on site this morning it was still tacky in places put another coat on as wasn't happy with finish finally managed to give it nice finish and feather in multi finish for remainder of wall but then had same issue with steel today had to fire proof meter out from wall and the rest in multi finish pist off stressed out home time at 4:30 on a Saturday wtf ...stay well away from the stuff
