pva and cracking

Hi all

you will see i posted a question a few days back about some cracking on a overskim i did last week.

I was taught to apply a coat of pva 4:1 then let it dry
then 2nd coat 3:1 and start plastering when tacky

but i often apply one coat, give it 10 mins then wack another coat on them get on the mixing.

Could the cracks i am getting on overskims be caused by not letting the 1st pva coat dry?

not reali, its all down to what ur skimming on, alsong as you have controlled the suction and scrimed the cracks its not that often you get cracks.
