PVA & Skim price

Hi all, what kind of prices do you quote per square meter for PVAing and two coat skim on walls ? I know prices vary up and down the country, but it would be nice to have an idea as I have nearly square 100 metres to do in one house. I didnt know if to charge on a day rate or per metre. Ta.

If it's a domestic job...I would go in at between £5-£6 a meter...

£10.00 per m2 mate = £1,000.00 less tax @20% =£800.00 less materials £80.00 = £720.00 less 2 days for a labourer £120.00 = £600.00 left for you (nice) but if you go in at £5.00 per m2 you will make £300.00 for 2 days (Not Nice) your decision... how much do you want to earn...

Go in like RS says but use my labourer he only gets 30 a day

Thanks for the replies chaps, forgot to mention there is a 2.4m x 1.8m ceiling to board and skim in their as well. I think I will go with the £10.00 per sq mtr and see what he says, he aint without a few bob this bloke.

The ones with a few bob are usually the one that wont pay thats how they got all there money Have you seen the job or are you giving rates over the phone?

Just charge for the job mate.
look at what it gonna take you in time 2 days ish + materials
Multi ply what you want to earn in day s x 2 and add your materials onto this plus a little extra fior delivery.
if its gonna take " you " longer than 2 days you better reduce the price,becuse its no more than 2 days work to overskim 100m and the next man would do it within that time frame and charge accordingly.

as above but you charge what you want ... you can say that its only 2 days work, it could be well awkward . go see the job and charge what your happy to complete the job to a good standard. end off.

I was just working it out at £6 a meter that's £600 for 2 days work on my own, don't use a labouer..

dont charge p/m2 on domestics mate, just do it as day rate its easier to work out and your not under any pressure to get it on the wall.

i have been pricing at £125 per day, gets me 95% of jobs.
