]how much pressure are you putting on?

I have the plazziflex trowel, it was okay to start with, but now it's worn a little, ( it's a bit hollow in the middle on both edges) if I have it on edge it has a tendency to bounce, and if I try to keep it a little flatter it either sticks or tears/peels the skim.
Anybody else have this trouble?
I was thinking of cutting down the nose end of it to make it straight again...??

Try a non sponge backed blade although you don't need major pressure even if your jumpin on your gear early, if anything your stood about waitin ... if using early you need a really closed trowel imo and the blade on the non sponge backed shouldn't flex under the pressure if doing the above ...

Thanks Adam, it's certainly more prone to happen when it's a bit early.
What do you mean by a really closed trowel? Think I've just took you up wrong....
Gonna give the super flex a whirl, currently searching threads on here...
What are pros & cons of refina cork or blue handle, or the Nela premium?
Thanks in advance

Closed trowel as in the gap between blade and surface is roughly 20mm if your jumping on it early ... you have less chance of creating bumps if closed but if you lay on neat and flatten as normal with an s/s trowel then you catch it early with the plazi and you can wait til it firms up abit before touching it again

I bought extra cork handles for my refina s/s trowel and s*p*r*lex ... great to be fair - had a leather one on my s/s trowel - that's also nice ...

Couldn't comment on Nela as I haven't used them but tons of good reviews and lads on here that will be able to help

Ahh closed lol!! Just different terminology Adam, I tend to call it a 'flat' trowel but we both know what we are on about...!! Lol.
A friend of mine said the cork handled s*p*r*lex from refina aren't as flexible as the blue ones, is this correct?
Do you use your s*p*r*lex for the first trowel after laying on?

Not too sure about the cork handles being different to the blue ones lol ... just a different handle ... refina superflexes do need wearing in a little so that may be why he thinks there different in flex but again there not designed for major pressure in anyway - that's why u use them earlier ...

Use a s*p*r*lex after your 2nd coat and after you've flattened with a s/s trowel as normal ..

Just looked on eBay and saw these, one says flexible, & the other says ultra flexible, do you reckon they are the same trowel?

Actually this one would imply the blade is more flexible on the blue handled one...

Thanks for all your help Adam!!
