remove old render or not

the render that is up is real hard to get off and is painted,i was thinking of leaving it on rendaid over and weber ocr also is has got cracks in it but it is solid it takes the brick out if you try and get it off cheers

take it off is a much better job but if it wont come off and the customer is happy about you going over it then i would angle grind all the paint down to the render then cut deep lines into it all over to provide a key, then i would reccomend a parex primer over the lot before applying a meshed coat then a thin acrilic top coat as there is no weight in this system
