Render carrier board

Render pro are 8/4 but I thought Knauf was 240/90. I use board m8s they help loads when you are on multi storey

@Runswithscissors

Could you get me some prices please for 8x4 sheets suitable for ewi works please.

100+ quantity

Many thanks,

Hi Mac

Sorry mate, Aquapanel Exterior is not suitable as an EWI backer board if you are going to use fixings to hold the insulation..... it does not gave the pull out fixing strength.

Aquapanel Exterior is a board for directly applied render.

Contact your render system supplier for a list of approved boards.......

Parex do bonded only specified EWI to a board, which can then be Aquapanel Exterior....

Aquapanel Exterior is 2400x900x12.5 or 1200x900x12.5 in the UK.

Install them horizontally to battens at 600mm ctrs

Most other competitor boards are 2400x1200 and very heavy per sheet

Smaller boards are great for tight scaffold access and ceilings......

Same price per m2, contact supply routes for prices, or Knauf on 01795424499 to get details of nearest stockist

I wasn't comparing you against render pro, just stating sizes. In fact the last couple we have done are Knauf and you don't need plastic on the Lat first like render pro

It will be fixed and dabbed.

It's low level works so no lugging up scaffolding, hence why i would rather use bigger boards.

I don't mind using 600mm boards if it's cost effective.

Iv been directed to sig for the boards which are the exterior aqua panel knauf.

Would be screwed into ply (studded) then eps dabbed and pinned, still not enough?

The ply would take the weight with fixings straight through, not the actual board, which would only act as a membrane and a sound substrate for the adhesive.

Hi Mac

In this application, with the fixings going back to the ply, through the Aquapanel, it makes sense.

This is not really how we would advise, but it sounds like someone has designed it to suit......

Give SIG a call and get them to price for you..... Make sure you specifically ask for "Knauf Aquapanel Exterior" so they price the right board for you.

Good luck

Give me a shout if you need any further technical assistance, I am not commercial so you will need to contact your local Knauf Sales manager to discuss pricing - SIG can advise. Or you can call our office advise where you are based and get local contact details - 01795 424499

Does anyone know where I can buy a single sheet of external aquapanel in essex. Penlaws do a cement board but it's only for this coat systems apparently and I want to render over it

you can achieve a quality rubbed up finish in thincoat. or a scratched finish with an acrylic 1.5 top coat.

Someone said about using a thin coat system over the aqua panel. The aqua panel is just for a porch.i've got the rest of my house to render and I'm doing it in sand and cement as using a thin coat system would be more expensive and I've not used it before. Is that ok numpty

What? How can you over order by 1200 metres...3oo is warehouse full.
Not me I am the supplier
My customer over ordered , jumped the gun on phase 2
Main contractor is stalling on phase 2 (6 months)
So I have them taking up space in my warehouse
£17.50 a board if you know anyone in the Cardiff area
