Very quick and simple one.
I've always used sharp sand for rendering ( admittedly mostly patch work) doing a larger garden wall yesterday and I just couldn't get it to rub up, I kept catching pebbles in the sharp sand and dragging them. Very annoying. I've given up and just scratched it up to top it off again. Can I / Should I be using a different type of sand of the top coat - kiln dried or soft building looking for a nice 60grit sand paper like finish.
Yes I appreciate its a basic question, I will go and stand in a corner later.
