just out of interest, what render mixes and gauges do you guys use?
anyone used SBR in thier render?
im having to do the top coat of render on a large house, they did have a couple of guys doing it , but they royaly fxxxed up the areas that they topped.
i hate going over other peoples work , A, you never know what they have put in their mix and B when the scratch is as bad as this. it makes it extreamly hard to get any wall flat.
i found out that they had sbr in their scratch, which i havent used before, i read the the bottle and it says that when using SBR it ment to be second coated with in 8 hrs!
is this 8hr rule a must?
i started on one area and the top coat went off like a rocket, so fast infact by the time i had used a second hawk full i was having to scrap it back off. now finding im having to seal the scratch.
Not sure if it is the sbr as i have never used it or if their labourer just messed the mix up with gauging the chemicall they have put in the render.
