No, it has higher performance compared to Standard Acrylic. We can offer an Acrylic but it isnt standard stock as we want to offer the best versions

Actual description from the catalogue as follows: Mixed Siloxane & Acrylic based organic structured render

How this would work over paint and have guarantee. Most people who want render done now is over flipping paint.

PRB Renomur Top is a product specially designed for going over painted substrates.

Few points that you'll need to cover:
  1. A specification would need to be raised to start with in order for the guarantee to be obtained.
  2. Due Diligence will be required and any areas which are flaking etc will obviously need to be removed prior to application of a basecoat.
  3. If you're doing a Monocouche over a painted substrate a pull of test will be required on each elevation and this will need to be documented. A form from the manufacturer will also require filling out
  4. A pull off test isnt required for a thin coat system and neither is the form.
  5. These systems can't go over Oil based paints, so this will also need to be checked via a burn test.

So the base coat goes directly onto the paint (after tests are done ) and the primer is what goes on the base coat before you apply the thin coat?

A lot cheaper than my johnstones rates

What sets the base coat off from others what's the special ingredient,
Will their base coat adhere to a painted substrate better than Johnstone's key coat primer or rendaid,
Are prb willing to just guarantee something where other manufacturers won't take the risk.

We couldn’t give the ingredients or the differences - that’s PRBS information.

There are also other manufacturers that offer guarantees with this type of system.

But yes, Renomur will adhere better

They do but most of the time they still end up saying it's going to need 70% removing,
Any way it's something to put to customer's prb's guarantee

So it’s acrylic

So it’s acrylic

No, PRB Crepimur is an Acrylic.

Crepisix is a silicone AND acrylic mix. Not one or the other both mixed as a blend instead of an additive

We also offer Crepoxane from PRB which is classified as a Pure Siloxane - obviously a higher quality and more expensive. Happy to offer a rate on this also

we have always used Parex Perinter on painted backgrounds without any problems. how is Renomur an improvement ?

Aaahhh got ya so that’s cleared that up now I understand

it’s definitely acrylic with a pipette of silicone in so it can be marketed as silicone enhanced

If that’s the way you want to read it, no worries.

But it’s not an Acrylic. Hence offering an Acrylic within the range, would be pretty silly offering two types of Acrylic.

Would you say Unixil from JUB is Acrylic with a bit of silicone to market it as a silicone?
