Just priced a job for fixing eml to marine ply and rendering with two coats.Anything different from the normal blockwork rendering?
Cheers lads

hope not mate cause the last one standard mixes ;D..............it will pull in quicker though because the timber will take on heat from inside , also mate did you use building paper ? this will give you a bit of independancy from the timber and should allow for a bit of movement

Building paper a good idea then? The area covers about 35 sqm so i think i have plenty of time(shaded area of the property)Will the building paper disentegrate with moisture or is it resistant?i have used it before on other building projects but not with render.
Cheers

it'll hold without building paper mate but if the timber does eventually twist etc the renders holding to the building paper not the timber and can still breath ( aswell as cement can) so hopefully it will create a cushion for the render
overlap the joins at least 100mm same as the mesh and keep the paper as tidy as poss and try not to tear it
alternatively and this is the best advice ask church mate ;)

Personally i would'nt use metal too much of a chance of cracking mate fix a render carrier board aquapanel or something, tape the joints then use a 5mm adhesive coat with fibre glass mesh bedded into it leave to set couple of days, then top off 10mm

if you are going to use use eml i would recconmend using 3 coat work 8-10mm thickness per coat 5-1 , 6-1 and 7-1-1 top coat, waterproofer in the 1st &2nd coat only.
