As ypu can see it has raised soil bed behind it on all sides of the garden and even in the summer there is pools of water forming at the base of the blockwork which will only get worse in winter.

I've warned her regarding water marks penetrating if we use ocr and water lines from between the coping stones.

What product or material and preparations wod you guys use for this scenario

Two coats of sika tanking slurry. Ocr 10mm and paint.
Anything porous (mono) or with an aggregate (Silicone/Acrylic) will stripe stain in no time.
It’s not a big deal to give it a lick of paint every few years.

Sika 1 pre bagged be ideal for this situation bud (y) Google it it’s good s**t mate! Expensive but does the job!

Id of tanked that on the backside of it to stop any water getting through ie delta membrane going into a soakawy but because your left like this as rossi says tanking

Tanking slurry then base coat, mesh etc or just tank then straight on with the ocr ??

sick of short cut im alriggt Jack tradies. Guy who built wall is experienced brickie and ground worker. Helped her fill the back area with soil and flowers .. why did the silly belle's tell her to hang fire and tank the rear portion of the wall....

I'll run the options past her im more comfy with the tiling tbh...would look nice that

I had a disaster with ocr on a retaining wall at a mates renter. One, it f**k**g pissed it down just after I got it on, but the amount of water weeping out, showed it wouldn’t have lasted anyway. It only needed tidying up, so I just rendered the return and we buttoned and clad the rest with feather edge boards.

I'd go 2 coats ka tanking slurry, then two coats of hp12 krend (polymer).

Paint it if you like. But nothing will come through to surface.
