floated a right awkward panel today, 40m2 of stucco in a barn conversion using brown sand.It over 3 lifts and I was working around farm machinery and the like all over the place.
Everything was going just fine,had the top and half the middle floated and sponged then layed the rest of the panel on by 1.00 and it just sat there hanging .... finished it at 6pm.
Tried all the old tricks, newspaper etc etc but just wasnt having it but at least its finished now....was dreading it to be honest !

stucco just another word for external rendering mostly used when lime rendering( on lathes)and other decorative external finishes were about .

in florida they call all external sand and cement work stucco

Stucco is rendering an American word which came from the many Europeans who emigrated there at the turn of the century in whos native language the word means the same.
