just wondering in the winter do you swap the mix around ie do you put waterproofer in the top coat instead of the scratch coat just so it pulls in quicker to rub up now its getting cold or is it a no no

I cut the waterproofer down by half the recomended dose in the scratch and use lime and wintamix in the top coat i also fill the drip beads out a little more when doing the scratch ;)

evening all.. church... you really should think about putting a book together you'd make a mint passing on your useful tips.... what winter mix brand do you use/recommend.

Yes its made by feb and its a accelerator/ frostproofer , it dosent speed things up dramatically but it seems to help you finish it in the daylight ;) another tip is never put on render later than 11 am if its not on before that time make sure you have lights ;D

I thought about starting a rendering school , to teach different aspects of s&c rendering , dashing etc but I'm not a very good teacher way to impatient prolly get knocked out for shouting at someone .

I've been caught out a few times and had to park the van with it's front wheels up on blocks to finish off in the dark :'(

use water proofer in the scratch, then accelerator/frostproofer in top off coat , always use lime in my renders ,can't beat a bit of lime
