cheers that red monocouche looks great I've got another mono job soon back in darwin Id like to put bands round the windows for something different

whats the go with them do you bead the bands and render them first them cover them up and render the walls??i was going to do them a different colour only problem is the guys i get the gear off only have a few colours left beige, white pallet of silver pearl and a pallet earth all weber pral m

na the link lights up but nothing happens youtube sucks I'm keen on the bands tho could i chuck bags of mono in a mixer dry and add an oxide to darken it up to use on the bands?only ask as we don't have a supplier out here and theres loads of beige sitting round

i dont no about the oxide to darken it.

i was in Sydney in march for 3 weeks staying with my brother and could have hooked up and given you some training. will be back early next year so keep in touch mate .

sounds easy with the pluck out beads i can only get 15mm and 10mm beads both stops and corners thats all they bring over

If you form your bands first by hand apply em a bit wider than normal by about 50-100 mm let em pick up a bit then cut em back with a sharp trowel against a straight edge then machineapply the rest of the render, don't matter if yooverspray on 's, cos it comes off when you scrape the lot back, and you endp with a clear defined band and render
thats monolithic and bead free , and looks miles better

They do something similar on the st astier promo vid except its a plinth that's a different colour. Good idea round windows(until you paint that is and lose it all)

do you use a corner bead warrior or do you do the reveals free hand too?
