In areas of high weather exposure, specifies need to look at all weathering details, no point in specifing a particular so called maintenance free render system if in 5 years or less it’s going to look like a load of crap.

Let's be honest monocouche is only really popular with the developers. It suits their purposes down to the ground. As soon as you point out the possible (probable) issues with it most private house owners don't want it.
Mono has been sold just how Artex was, as a non crack material that didn't need decorating. Once you explain to people that you can use exactly the same mesh etc. in S&C and that decent paint will last ten years plus and how vastly cheaper the materials are, they soon see the light.

If you spray a uv resistant transparent sealer on completion, it cuts a lot of this out, as the dirt is not ingrained in the texture it’s sat onthe sealer.
Your always going to get dirt/moss on a north facing that doesn’t get the sun regardless of what you use mono sand/cement, bucket coats.

Monocouche is far better then s/c in every way ! The issues are build details and any render would stain
