Is it OK to roughcast over white sand white cement mixed at 6-1 with plasticiser(no lime)
It's let to dry for 3 or 4 days but it's dampened down before wet dashing.
Wet dashing mixed at 7-1 (7 soured mix to 1 white cement)

That will be fine - just watch out the suction isn’t fierce or you can get that ‘chevron’ appearance when you cast in the same direction.
When I roughcast my process is:
  1. Scratch coat and ruled off really nice, key it, leave a week.
  2. Then top coat/butter coat it at about 6- 8mm - no need to rule it off just spread it nice and flat, then roughcast straight onto the butter coat. Leaves a nice spread of roughcast.

Here we had to give it 2 scratch coats
1st was 4-1 normal plastering sand and opc and waterproofer
2nd was white sand white cement 6-1with plaz (no lime)
