has anyone used one or got one been doing a few of these where had to form from existing through the wall but been struggling with the trowels I've got ie plastic or small trowels was thinking it's better to pull something across the cove to form it cheers

It depends on the depth of the curve. If its a canny depth then you would bond it out first forming the curve with the knife (or curvy tool as i call it ). or just load the angle up with finish and run the knife along to get the curve if its not too deep of an angle
I only really use it when the angles are pissed, tends to happen when joiners do the boarding on loft's etc

That's what I meant mate when you have to form it with bonding did one yesterday but found it difficult to pull the plastic trowel round it would have been better running something horizontal instead of up an down think it's worth getting one 20quid for next time?

Aye marra cos that canny handy. Just don't lob them in the back of the van cos once you get a nick in the blade it takes ages sanding to get them out

Somebody once said everydays a school day, looks like this is one of those! What the hell is a rubber a coving knife?
