rust

[S a plastering]

did a extension before xmas an skimmed it all an left but it was piss wet through for at least 3 weeks now its dry all where it was nailed rust is comin through now i normally screw everythin but all i had was galv ails which the company supply was im askin is can stainblock paint be used over theese was going to give it a couple of coats an see how that goes has anyone done this before or is there any other way cheers

Gave mine a full mot with wd40 and glass paper last week end makes a difference to the way they perform 8)

i know nelly like i said i always screw up but i had no option but to use nails on this ocasion

You oil based underecoat thinned down slightly with white spirits,this will cure it,same with any stain works much better than any stain block,but will take 2 coats of emulsion to cover rather stain block whicj will take one coat.

Feel for you m8, if it makes you fell better i tacked hundreds of houses from 1982-2002 with clout nails and aint had a problem so don't worry, the worse is a coat of paint , that's not bad. Chillax!
