Sand and cement help

Alright first question on here, have a Job where we hacked off 40sqm of sand/cement due to dry rot problems in a old building. Dry rot is all sorted so tomorrow we are back to plaster.
Problem is some of the existing we are having to match is about 8mm thick. Surely it is impossible to 2 coat sand and cement and skim.
One coat sand and cement and skim ?
Or nap finish sand and cement ?
Cheers

Just kill the dust and a bit of the suction first with a weak PVA water mix .Then float as normal. You should be able to put on 8mm no problem .Just leave it a few days to shrink before you skim else you will have problems with cracking etc.

Salt treat the wall then put sbr in the render mix.... Makes it more flexible and less prone to crack.....
