It's already classed as old school...
But I like it the best...tried and tested.
Great looking work there!

Anyone noticed how people scrunch their faces up when you mention pebbledash nowadays?

No one it seems wants pebbledash now but sometimes I want to return to the pre machine days. At worst the reliable Honda powered Belle mixer might stop or the labourer will spit the dummy out and walk.

No truck full of equipment that can go wrong and waiting from 10am till 6pm for mono to go off.

A lot less faffing about that's for sure. But you also have to be fairly fit.

I save dashing jobs for November and December. Plenty of time with no risk of drying on you.

It's very different in Scotland, probably 90% is dashing, mostly dry dash with bagged receivers with the odd bit of rendering and a fair bit of wet dash. Mono hasn't really taken off up here at all compared to down south.

I went to do some dashing this morning, got me stall all set and the mixer would not start!!!!!! spent 2hrs fettling the mixer got it going after a 18 mile round trip for a spark plug and, then went home cos i was pissed off. (y)

I'm seriously considering traditional sand and cement on an extension, only thing is its thermalites and I know a bit of micro and parmurex will be quicker.

Got two dashing jobs to do next. Both finished in dash receiver most likely K Rend.

Might have a go at spraying the K Rend if conditions are right.

I know goosnargh marshy.
Gotta say though fkin pipes coming down the front of the quoins look atrocious
