Screed finish

Hello all

New to this site, hello all.

Desperate for some advice please. Finishing a concrete floor with 50mm screed (sharp sand and cement dryish mix). We are adding a dye.

Wanting to polish screed, been given mixed advice, some say fine to do with electrical polisher (diamond pads etc), others say it will rip it up.

I want to avoid painting if possible, area is 3.5 x 6.5m.

Advice on finishes would be very much appreciated, nearly 3years into this extension and my patience of living upside down with a then baby, now little girl has well and truly expired!

It's not a concrete finish its a sand and cement screed which I think will turn to dust and not polish up maybe look at a micro finish over the top.

As Flynnyman says, you can't polish sand and cement screed. This looks interesting though

As above.
I think it would weaken the finish aswell on the surface.
