when doing domestic do any of you guys put scrim over the edges of your thin coat beads when just doing a reskim

i never have before but just been called back where one edge of bead has cracked ,the only thing i can think is the original wooden bead has sucked moisture up from plaster then expanded and when it dried out at different rate than new scim it caused the crack, can't think of any other reason for it, any ideas?

true it could do that or they might have bumped into it dont get paranoid and start scrimming every bead though

mmmm possible, but its empty room and the guy is a pensioner who has just had triple heart bipass so he wouldnt have been up there playing footy. saved the day with a shot of easi fill anyway.

yeah could have been playing wheelchair basketball like that black fella who is always on tv who does break dancing in his wheelchair

Pretty much do it all the time just out of habit now only takes seconds and i think it strengthens the angle plus not all skim beads are the same ,some on the market at the mo are s**t , also went through a stage of using grip fill to fix beads and then scrim , it works well nice and solid .
