i have just had a quick look and cannot find any discussions on scrim.
what brand do you all use, what are the problems and how might it be improved.
i have had a few on here suggest using my tape as a scrim tape as well as beadfix.
i will be looking into it and testing, it may be superior to whats out there, after all scrim design has not really changed apart from material and self adhesive since it was first used.

Used to be non stick jute/ hessian bandages trowelled into a bed or first coat , lots use paper tape

If you can invent a self adhesive paper tape I’ll bite your hands off . Paper is far better than scrim for preventing cracks but is time consuming to apply . There used to be a paper tape on the market that you wet the back of and stick on . We used it for the ceiling lines when they used to artex.

My tape should have the same characteristic as a paper tape but better sticking power.
I remember the one your on about.

Been around years pal it’s called masking tape

I use the bg orange mesh extra sticky and the 30% thinner mesh for repairs. Wrap up in cling film to keep good and clean

They all still peel away sometimes and leave a big wet line of scrim on the floor and then you have to try and push piece back up into the wet.
Also scrim can be a struggle bending and sticking over corners.
