When spraying Pral M over Raid is it possible to do it in one coat with 10mm beads? Ritmo on speed 10?

And do you get the serrated edge straight onto the ribbons?

Thanks

Serrate straight after spray and you should get that with one coat. However with a Ritmo we find we have to spray a bit wetter so could involve a tight first pass. With 3 phase one hit no probs.

Thanks Andy,

How do you do a tight first pass when you have the speed setting on 10?

Doesn't it put too much material on the wall?

You have to move a bit quicker lol. You may be ok with one hit but we find the amps go up and it cuts the Ritmo motor out if we try to spray thicker material. Maybe try spraying at a lower speed and see how you go.

Are you putting your 10mm beads on over the top of the rend aid or bedding them in to it? This will obviously make a difference of 3-4mm to your top coat.

If your beads are bedded in to the base you should be looking at 10-12mm which is do able in one pass without having the gear to thick (we rarely see the pressure above 10/11 bar).

Move slow and steady so your ribbons blend in neat and give it a few minutes to tighten up before you put the edge to it.

I usually bed them on top of base coat, but when I was hand applying I did 2 passes. I was hoping to do it in one with the machine spraying bit thicker and moving slower.

I'll try bedding beads...thanks.
