Would be good to have a few days job swaps me and you I do your site work and you do my domestics,lol then report back on a thread how we found it .

f**k doing domestic but ur more Than welcome on our jobs..trust me Pete ud have a day then think fck that..we loaded up a house 2day 3 pallets of boards did it in 2 hours and that includes taking them upstairs

I did half a room with 1 coat and the other half with 2 coats the other day. U can't tell the difference. Just because u seen 1 coat plastering done s**t doesn't mean it can't be done right. I've seen plenty of s**t 2 coat work

Ya big fanny 100m day is easy on decent houses ......fuuuck them social housing sites.
Ive been 1 coating for 15 years....ive been all over uk.
Never ever outa work.
Im giving a painting firm a hand at the minute they just got into drylining last year theve hired spreads 2 coating who are f**k**g awfull....and asked can i stay on on full time.....but f**k that social housing bollox.
When painters taking over plastering sites and asking me to stay on full time cause the skimmings always right .....theres nothing wrong with 1 coating.
Fuuck me lads on here selling expensive machines where you can only 1 coat.
 
I think we all like to think we are quick etc ? The main point is doing a proper job. Massive difference in certain peoples standards tho !!

I don't class myself as quick. I work clever tho. I was doing a days skimming this week while I had the lads plasterboarding. First set i did 10 boards 2nd set 7 boards 3rd 4 boards. I was beading and cleaning and mixing. It wasn't a hard days work. I find it's all to do with your set up. I made €260 after tax.

Sometimes I do work on site but still can only manage a couple of bags at a time..

Me neither...just helping someone out.
Im switching between 2 sites roughly 550 houses left to do.
Done most plots on my own on the morris site ..il give ya post codes if ya wanna see quality and youl see the speed ive had to do them on my own.
My brother on his own battering out the other site...thats persimmons..big 5 bedrooms there all raked ceilings 1 coated skimmed 1 man 1 coated alone.
Let me know kitchy il meet ya mate to show ya im not full of shhite
 
It's an indication just how shite the prices are when the site lads need to be bursting out these kinds of metres day in day out for a decent wage.

I don't doubt there are top plasterers out there that don't know any different but you shouldn't need to work that hard to put food on your table IMO.

Believe u pal..get some pics banged up..wat do persimmons pay m2 for skimming? Do loads down our way never worked for them..il hold my hands up was probably wrong term to use just going by wat ive seen personally with other 1 coaters
