Hi lads
gotta do some basement damp proofing for a mate of mine. I havnt seen how damp it is yet but cos
hes a mate i wanna keep the cost down. Normally i would use SIKA1 but latley ive noticed that its
impossible to spread on the wall (like s+c with no feb). Im wondering could the frost have affected
it while in the van 4 last 6 months or is anyone else having the same problem? Or maybe just use
ordinary SIKA ? CHEERS

If your tanking a cellar , after you have prepared it, you need to wash the walls down with a 9:1 solution of sbr so that the walls are wet but not soaking, then a modified render coat cons of gauging water of 3:1 water and sbr and 3:1 sand cement, then tanking slurry coat and then modified render coat over the still tacky slurry coat , guaranteed not to leak after this ;)

thanks warrior, have done quite a bit of tanking over the years using slurries (hey'di etc) but this one
is for a mate who wants 'a good enough job' done. Ive explained that 2 do it properly would run
into '000s and hes not interested. Ive had reasonable sucess with sika1 in the past and then skimming
but have noticed that the 'muck' is impossible to use lately
