I hope this is the right place to post this. I hired a contractor to do a tinted USG diamond finish skim coat over existing drywall. The job is unacceptable in terms of color and detail. Now I would like to hire a plasterer to repair/redo the job. My question is, assuming the bonding of what is there is OK - Can a skimcoat of USG Diamond finish be put over another or will I have to do another coat of bonding agent? If so will that work?. The skimcoat put on by the contractor is rough in places but hard and shiney in others.

Thanks in advance.

I assume hes American bubbles because he called it drywall. hence the 2am thing, you might struggle to find what you're after here mate. some of the lads might know what you're on about but i doubt it

I will do it for flights and £50000. Im free next saturday if you want it doing quickly :RpS_thumbup:

ive done thousands and thousand of sq yards of usg diamond finish whilst living in states for 15 years.i also did un told amounts of coloured plaster but i DID NOT KNOW OR SEE coloured diamond i suppose you could tint it but you would need a laboratory with perfect measuring system to keep the colour consistent.

you can pva and have walls re done no problem unless its a pre coloured finish dont bother paint it
