skim over artex celling

just been to give a quote on a artex celling with a bit of water damage on it i think il get away with a bit of scrim over the crack but the celling is about 26ft by 12ft any ideas on a quote?
 
Quote them a days pay excluding mats, would you do it your self or have labourer? either way there bout a days work in it . i would be quoting around£ 200 excluding mats mate
 
yeh i thaught that i was thinking around 220 all in maybe get a labourer to mix it for me. thanks mate always wonder wether im rippen me self off or charging too much . thanks
 
is it n insurance quote?
Tend to add a bit for them.
Otherwise £200 sounds good
 
i charged 520 for a ceiling and thought it was way over the top , the other lad charged 480 so not miles out ........that was to repair 1m2 and gypbond and skim approx 25sqm
 
just done a ceiling on an insurance job 20x12 took down the ceiling luckly it was boards,reboarded,skimmned,coving and painted £1200 and we were the most competitive,found out of the couple we were working for that they had the insurance companys reccomended firm round and there quote was nearly 2,000.
i always put a decent price in on insurance qoutes and 90% of the time get them
 
i think you get th4 idea flaz.
add on at least 20%.
Some guys also charge £20 for insurance quotes to cover costs if you don't get it.
