Your meant to be working not on the forum

i will admit john pointed out the boarding was shite. it wasn't me that boarded them. however, john did kindly use some more screws and try his best!

The problem - why nobody likes anybody else boarding - is that everybody except a plasterer thinks that the plasterer is going to fix it and bury their little mistakes. Once you've tried to plaster over mistakes in boarding a couple of times, you realise that it doesn't really work like that. That's why nobody likes the customer - or even other trades - boarding ahead of them.

“Plasterer will get over that

I do that sort of work week in week out so I’ll know to the day how long it will take, and I won’t miss a thing on quoting, I’m a f**k**g eagle eyed c**t.

I’ll know the figure I want for the work. So if it’s day rate, I’d have to stretch it out for x amount of days to hit the price I want anyway. This losing money as could be finished sooner and on another job.

Also, with day rate, the customer will
Never be satisfied with what you do in a day. You could do lots of prep and customer thinks you’ve done nothing. As they know f**k all. Then the arguments start.

Just the way i do things. Price is the price. If its a week or 2 weeks nothing changes.
That's the way I price them jobs . It's by far the best way imo it ain't rocket science

Finally decided to feed me @lupak
