Is there a stop bead you can get that allows you to skim up to an archway reveal with out having to skim inside the reaveal aswell?

Have a hall to do tomorrow and it has 2 arch ways. The reaveals dont need skimming. The only bead I can see are the flexible pvc arch angle beads, but this would mean plastering the arch reveal and part of the wall the other side to cover the bead if used on both sides.

Just want to skim the flat wall on the hall side up to the arched doorways. ???

just get a stop bead and put it into both sides of the arch... the stop bead
will bend with the shape of the arch nicely....
just skim the arches as well, will look nice when
its all done with nice reveals.

remember join the stop beads at the bottom not at eye height.

Just skim up to it and cut the skim back, then go over the angle with a wet paint brush, done it loads of times

and me just pull it back an blend in dont use skim stop beads on arches they kink like mad get the plastic arch beads made for the job

skim up to it and when it takes in a bit run a wet plastic bag wrapped round the angle round it or a little copper twitcher is what i use

can also be hard to get a fixing with the stop bead especially around the curvature, try to blend it in mate witha brush or bag? ( will try this myself).
If ur not confident doing this then try to staple the bead on as banging nails or firing screws in can totaly fcuk the reveal edge ur deperate to keep intact.

yes plastic beads are better, that goes without saying, but thin coat stop
beads do work, ive done it, it works.....was no kinks but i can see how it
would kink, on how u bend them etc etc

also yes if you dont want to skim the arch, then skim wall as normal and
when the plaster goes bit stiff, cut it back and brush it in!!

Good shout guys have room to skim with 8 arch windows this week render is flush to already,so was thinking along same lines easiest way cut back to achieve best finish but did wonder ?!?!?peace of mind .good timing ;)
cheers from sunny spain 8) 8)
